99-01 SVT Cobra Fog Light Bracket Installation
Step 1.
Install 3D printed bracket to bezel first. Each side is marked with the correct side of the vehicle to be mounted on. (Left/Driver side, R/Passenger side). Mount FLAT side towards rear of car, rib side to front of car using 3 supplied #8x3/4 screws. See figure 1 below. Ensure the bracket is pushed up (towards top of car) while attaching bracket to bezel. This ensures the fog light has enough play and adjustment to center in your bezel.
Step 2.
Install fog light onto 3D printed bracket using 4 supplied #8x1/2 screws. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN SCREWS. When installing fog light, make sure to support the top two screw attachment points with one finger while screwing in fog light to bracket. This is to ensure the screw does not flex the bracket and ensure screw threads correctly. See figure 2a. Ensure fog light is installed with adjustment level screw towards bottom (Morimoto Fog lights) see figure 2b.
Step 3.
Center fog light in bezel opening and fully tighten down fog light to 3D printed bracket. See figure 3.
Step 4.
99-01 SVT Cobra are equipped with connectors to use 893 bulbs. Morimotor and other 15-17 Mustang fog light options use H11 connectors. Wiring up your new fog lights can be done in two ways:
Option A: Using the supplied connectors and pins plug in fog light wiring to match your factory pigtails. This may require removing pins and weatherproof connectors from your fog light and replacing them with the supplied items.
Option B: Remove your factory fog light pigtail ends and replace with the corresponding fog light connector you may need. 15-17 mustang and most universal fog lights use H11 connectors. You will need an H11 FEMALE Pigtails. These can be purchased at the link below
